A turmeric paste will be applied to the future bride and groom during this ceremony by friends and family.

The yellow hue of the turmeric paste is considered auspicious and represents a life of prosperity for the couple about to begin their new journey of life together!

*Please note that there is the possibility of turmeric paste getting on your clothes, please wear clothing which you are comfortable getting dirty!

Attire: Florals, patterns, bright colors.

Henna evening for the ladies! Henna will be applied to the bride and her friends & family members.

*Men are welcome to join for the festivities.

Location: Yaxche Garden.

Attire: Please kindly avoid wearing red as the bride will be in red. Head coverings are required for this ceremony (For ladies, scarves are sufficient; For men, head scarves (rumaals) will be available).

The families and friends of both the bride and groom gather to witness them unite as one. The couple will proceed with the Anand Karaj (wedding ceremony) and be united as a married couple.
