I met Karissa in 2018, both of us fresh out of college trying to figure life out as we started our new careers not knowing where it would take us. We connected instantly as we had lots in common and were able to find comfort in one another. Our personalities meshed perfectly together and always knew how to have a good time together, even in times of crisis. We went from coworkers to best friends and since then have seen our lives unfold from moments of laughter to moments of gloom. We can go from not seeing each other for months to picking up right where we left off. Some of my favorite memories with her are going on long walks/hikes, and country concerts🤠. Karissa always inspires me to be the best version of myself with her drive and dedication. I am so grateful to be part of her journey and can’t wait to continue be there for all the beautiful milestones to come. Douglas and I met years ago in college at Cal State Fullerton, as we were both freshmen living on campus in the dorms. Our friendship grew organically, but I had no idea it would end up here- him getting married, and me trying to write something clever for his wedding website. But here we are. Over the years we have shared countless memories, some questionable decisions, and a lot of great times. Karissa and I both went to Sac State, and I knew of her because she was friends with my cousin. Funny enough, my cousin never thought we’d become friends. But in 2018, when I was working at Haven of Hope, a new hire arrived — it was Karissa! We instantly clicked and became close, bonding through the highs and lows of that job (a little trauma bonding included). From there, our friendship naturally grew beyond work. We started hanging out a lot, and it didn’t take long for me to realize that I hadn’t just found a friend—I’d found a lifelong one. I’m so grateful for the incredible person Karissa is! Watching her with Douglas has been such a joy—seeing her so happy, loved, and supported by someone who truly appreciates her for all that she is. It’s such an honor to stand by her side on this special day, celebrating the beautiful love she and Douglas share. I couldn’t be happier for them both!

Doug and I met in 2021 when I first moved to Sacramento and started working at his office. I didn’t know anyone at the time, but was lucky to have run into Doug. He was immediately cool and welcoming, and has been one of my best friends ever since. Doug’s one of the only people I know I can count on in any situation. Whether it’s at work, or talking his way out of us getting kicked out of golf courses, Doug will be there. I’m honored to be a groomsman and I’m thrilled to watch both of you embark on the next chapter of your lives!

I met Karissa when she started dating Doug who happens to be my fiancé Oscar’s best friend and it didn’t take long for her to become one of my favorite people, too. Karissa and Doug have shown up for us in every big moment of our lives, and it’s an honor to stand beside them as they start this next chapter. Their love is something truly special, and I couldn’t be happier to be apart of it.

It all started when I was microwaving my bland chicken and rice at our law schools cafeteria. At that time, Doug already had his “crew” and generously asked if I wanted to eat with them. I didn’t know it then, but that simple ask turned into a great friendship with him and the rest of our #RealWingReview boys. For the last eight years, it’s been one hell of a ride. Taking on law school, our careers and now an attempt at a semi-pro golf career, it’s been nothing short of great.  I’m extremely happy for both him and Karissa on this next chapter of their lives. It’s crazy to think Karissa and I spent years at the same high school and college without really knowing each other, then we ended up working together and became such good friends! Karissa is one of the most genuine and loyal people I know, and I’m so lucky to call her a friend. I met Doug freshman year in the dorms, though I’m pretty sure he only liked me because I had a car. What started as a convenient friendship turned into a brotherhood filled with midnight snacks and gym sessions after long summer work shifts in Fullerton. He’s been a mentor and a partner-in-crime for everything whether it was feeding me dino nuggets when I was down bad or bonding over Korean BBQ like it was a sacred ritual. Watching him grow both in his career and in the way he shows up for the people he loves has been nothing short of inspiring. Now, seeing him start this next chapter with Karissa, I know he’s found someone just as amazing as he is. Cheers to a lifelong friend, and to a love even stronger than our shared love for late-night food.

I’ve known Karissa since freshman year in high school. Throughout the years, our friendship has continued to grow by making countless memories from being cheer besties to going off to college together. Karissa has always demonstrated to be a hard working independent girly. However, I’m glad she was able to meet someone who admires her worth and treats her like queen is ✨ My favorite memory of Karissa and Douglas is going on the cruise together. This is where we soon learned that “making it a double” wasn’t always the best option. Arturo and I are blessed to continue growing this friendship. I’ve been friends with Karissa since 2010, when we met through all-star cheer. The first time we talked, it was her birthday—she had balloons, and I wished her a happy birthday. We clicked instantly and have been friends ever since. From the beginning, she’s been someone I’ve looked up to—she even inspired me to become a Belieber! I went with Karissa to my first two concerts (even if she doesn’t remember the first one, I promise we were both there). Over the years, we’ve shared so many laughs, memories, and milestones, and she’s become one of my best friends. I’m so happy to stand by her side as she starts this new chapter with Douglas.

I’ve known Doug for a little over a decade, we met at college. Right from the start, I knew he would be a great lawyer because he would win every argument he was in (good luck Karissa), totally joking! On a serious note, he’s always been a great friend and person to be around, whether it’s an adventure to Yosemite or eating way too much Korean BBQ. I know Doug will be an amazing partner to Karissa. I met Karissa and Douglas when I was a baby. I was lucky to travel with them to Hawaii at 8 months and go to the Monterey aquarium together. Most importantly I was there when they got engaged! I loved getting to know them both and appreciate having them in my life. From our dinners to random hangouts Karissa and Douglas are always patient, loving and kind to me.
