It was early February 2022 when two people swiped right on each other that otherwise would have never met. Call it technological kismet. What was then supposed to be a quick lunch date on February 6th that neither of them expected to be anything to write home about, turned into 12+ hours of laughing, talking, smiling and perhaps some kissing. And yes, there were also a few Margaritas involved (can't have Mexican food without it). The connection that both of them felt, appeared surreal and definitely unexpected. But it did not end there.

From that moment on, every possible day and weekend was spent together, all over Florida and beyond. From exploring local dive bars to 5 star hotels, there was no day safe from these two travel and experience junkies. Many friends would wonder if they ever were actually home in their first months.

Spending time together came easy and seemed like the most natural thing in the world, as if they had always been together. Even Nathan's son Adam approved immediately of Karla, wanting her to come over as much as possible and giving her gifts every day (more than Daddy does, per his own assessment). A half year later they moved in together, and as with everything else, it felt like it had always been that way.

In April 2023 while staying at their favorite resort in the Florida Keys, Nathan asked Karla to marry him. Even though answering with an actual "yes" took minutes (as the bride to be seemed too occupied with laughing, smiling, crying and other simultaneous emotions), there was never a doubt that these two soul mates would end up tying the knot. They are and have been inseparable, truly being best friends and lovers.

And therefore you are now reading this text, waiting with excitement to see them officially become husband and wife, in beautiful Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.
