Fundidora Park is a large public park in the city and is located on the land formerly occupied by the Monterrey Iron and Steel Company from 1900 to 1986. The transformation of this former steel complex into a green and cultural space reflects the ability of communities to redefine their environment. This urban oasis, with more than 142 hectares, demonstrates that harmony between industrial heritage, nature and culture is possible, offering residents and visitors a unique place where history intertwines with modernity. Blast furnace number three was declared a protected monument by a heritage law and is preserved in the Park.
The Macroplaza or Gran Plaza is a plaza in the city of Monterrey in Nuevo León , Mexico. It is the name given to the central part of Monterrey that occupies 40 hectares. It is the largest plaza in Mexico and the 5th largest plaza in the world. There are shops, recreational and transit centres, and green areas along with old monuments and colonial buildings that contrast with the new constructions. The most notable monument is the Faro del Comercio , a 70-metre-high monument with a laser beam system at the top that illuminates the city's sky at night.

The Mirador del Obispado (Bishop’s Lookout) is located at the top of the Cerro del Obispado (Bishop’s Hill) in the northern city of Monterrey, Mexico. It features the biggest bandera monumental (monumental flag) in Mexico. The hill and the lookout receive their name from the building constructed in the middle of the hill by the end of the 18th century, the Palacio del Obispado (Bishop’s Palace).
At an altitude of 775 meters above the sea level the lookout consists of a 40 meters of diameter round-shaped esplanade with the flag pole at its center. There are benches, a small parking lot (mainly for handicapped people) and 3 French gardens. The installations are also equipped with restrooms and water troughs. It was conceived as a family walking stroll so the main road is very wide and well illuminated. Cars are allowed to pass but the main parking lot is at the entrance of the Park.
The Palacio del Obispado, Spanish for Bishop's Palace, also known as El Obispado or the Bishop's Museum, is an 18th-century colonial building constructed between 1787 and 1788. It is located on the top of the Chepa Verde hill and has served as a military fortress and a public walkway. Since September 20th, 1956, it has hosted the Regional Museum of Leon.
