Ours is a classic story of boy meets girl, boy and girl become best friends that later turns into something more. The story begins in September 2003, in middle school. Gio was talking to a group of people about his excitement for Spider-man 2 and caught Karla's attention. As a self-described "nerd", she was intrigued to say the least. Since then they bonded over their love of movies and comic book lore. The awkward pre-teen conversations quickly escalated to a first crush, first "date", and then first heartbreak. We never quite got the timing right and had to both do a lot of waiting but when we finally came together it was kismet. We're both happy to say that we've been "with" our soul mate forever.

Acquaintances turned into friends, turned into best friends, turned into first crushes, turned into life-long loves. And 15 years later, after quite a bit of waiting, these two crazy love birds are tying the knot.
