We met for the first time when my brother and Peyton were roommates for summer football in 2018. Funny enough, Peyton remembers this day but I don't... oops!! Little did we know what God had in store for us 5 years later. The Lord is so cool. Life continued and Peyton played football and worked toward his three college degrees, while eventually I also began my college career at OBU in the fall of 2020. We talked a few times in our three years of college together and had a few similar circles, but we never truly spent time together. Although we so wish we had these three years together making memories, we both know that this was the Lord's perfect timing. This time allowed us to both enjoy time with friends and to faithfully grow in our own Spiritual journeys. Finally, this past summer is where our story began to really unfold. I had been intentionally seeking the Lord for a year and committed to not dating anyone that year. Well, this past summer that year had finished, and on July 5th, 2023 I told God I was ready and asked him to please send me my husband. And on July 5th, 2023 Peyton reached out to me and a week later we went on our first date. That part of our story is so crazy cool to us... only God. We instantly clicked and both felt a connection that could only have come from God. Peyton asked me to be his girlfriend on our next date and we quickly fell so in love with each other. Since then we have been able to date through football season, nursing school, trips, hard times, joyful times, and make the most fun memories ever! Our season of dating was one we will cherish forever, we learned so much about each other and knew very quickly that we wanted to spend forever together. Then on January 13, 2024, Peyton proposed! The best day yet!!!! Of course, I said yes and we have begun the beautiful process of planning the day we will become one and celebrate with our family and friends! We are beyond excited for this next season! We could not be here without the overwhelming faithfulness of the Lord and we pray that our story and our life together reflect that!
