a little over 8 years ago…

they met in 2017 in Christ the Savior Church, Fujairah, UAE.

Mai, fresh from graduation, just got back from the Philippines and returned to the Emirates where she was born and raised, to pursue a career for her so called-adulting era.

Karlo, just barely few months in the emirates looking for work got invited to CSC.

None ever thought that coming to the Emirates would be “the” BEST decision they ever had.

Karlo approached Mai on 27 October 2017,

As the lyrics of the song “I finally found someone”goes..

it started over coffee, started off as friends..

Indeed they did. And eventually... they became as what they used to call themselves “Bestfriends”.

It wasn’t easy but the Lord saw them through… And on the road to their 8th year, Karlo then proposed to Mai on March 01, 2025 the very day that has a special meaning in Mai’s life.

The Lord orchestrated everything, the Lord Jesus, made sure that in their individual Christian life journeys’, their waiting will never be in vain. there is that special moment, that perfect time that will intertwine and pave a new road together honoring Christ as one.
