Our Story

As luck would have it, we met our freshman year at Ohio State a few weeks after moving in just down the floor from each other. By another stroke of luck, the two of us found our way into the same friend group (shoutout to Smith 3). After we moved out of the same dorm, that friend group remained close during sophomore year and through many hours of study tables and celebrating Buckeyes football. Eventually, when it came time to move off campus and out of the dorms, we signed a lease with six of those same friends for junior and senior year. Those two years at the Fourth Street house were some of the best memories we have from Ohio State.&nbsp; Fast forward to 2020, our relationship became "official" on account of two primary reasons (well, maybe three). First, the two of us were the only ones who remained around campus after spring graduation the year prior. Karly was in law school at OSU, and Nick was completing his 5th year of undergrad (let’s call it a “victory lap”). Second, once we were hit by a worldwide pandemic and quarantine forced us to spend countless days inside our respective apartments, we started to spend a lot of time together, and both of us took the trek back and forth between south campus where Karly lived, and north campus where Nick lived. Eventually, one thing led to another and we ended up getting an apartment together in downtown Columbus. A little over a year after moving in together, we impulsively made the decision to get a puppy (despite advice from both of our parents to wait). Bringing Murphy home and sharing her with our loved ones has been one of the best decisions we’ve made together. We are so incredibly blessed to have shared the past five years surrounded by the most amazing family and friends, and we can’t wait to share our special day with you next July.
