Our story began in 2017 after we were introduced to one another by our mutual friend, Bailey, in the extremely romantic setting of our 9th grade health class :) We quickly grew to like the other and spent most of our freshman year getting to know each other and cultivating a really awesome friendship. It wasn't until 11th grade, a little less than a month before the pandemic began, when we made the relationship official after a lovely date together at Horrocks. We had realized that we shared a lot of the same passions, such as our deep appreciation for music, nature, and people. Aside from those things and most importantly, we shared the same faith in the Lord and a profound love for Jesus.

We graduated from high school in the summer of 2021 and moved away to colleges 8 hours from one another in the fall. Despite the physical distance, the Lord helped our relationship to thrive and our love for one another to keep growing. We are so thankful for His provision! We remained long distance for all of college, visiting one another as much as possible during breaks and throughout the summers.

On July 20th, 2023, Cooper proposed at Tunnel Park, a beach in Holland, Michigan. This was a beach that we had gone to quite a bit that summer, and it is definitely one of our favorite spots. It was such a beautiful day filled with so much love and support. We had a lot of fun sharing the news with our amazing family and friends! We cannot wait to get married on July 20th, 2024, exactly one year following our engagement.
