We, Marcus and Karly, first met in January 2017 while attending the University of Kentucky. Marcus transferred to Eastern Kentucky University in 2018 while Karly graduated and began medical school in South Florida, thus beginning our “long-distance” relationship. Over the last 8 years, Karly has relocated multiple times to complete medical training and military assignments, while from Kentucky, Marcus obtained his Master's degree in Engineering and has built a successful career at Hitachi Astemo.

Living apart for much of our relationship has definitely been challenging. We estimate that we have traveled over 300,000 miles collectively to visit each other! However, the distance has also strengthened us as a couple in many unique ways. Through it all, we have always continued to cheer each other on, and have always held hope for our future. Our go-to line has always been, one day, it will all be worth it.

We are so excited to finally be celebrating that long awaited day, with all of you who have supported us on this journey!
