Shawn and I met in high school at a small Christian private school. We knew of each other but never talked until we went on a mission trip together to Ensenada, Mexico fall of our senior year. After that trip, I was head over heels, but Shawn was fully committed to basketball. After a few months of talking and getting to know each other as friends, he finally came around and asked me to prom. He told me he really liked me and wanted to try to make it work on prom night even though we were going separate ways after high school. From that night on, we’ve been inseparable. We started dating April 16, 2023 and have been long distance since August of 2023. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s 100% worth it, and we fully believe that this was God’s plan all along!
