We were fortunate to find our way to each other first as collegues and then becoming friends.

Karyn was working at the Mental Health & Recovey Board and recruited Rob, who was the Clinical Director of Townhall II, to be a featured speaker on addiction for a series of community events during the opioid crisis. Between these events, meetings, and conferences, we got to know each other well throughout the years and became close friends.

When we started dating, we both knew immediately that we were meant to be together.

The Proposal:

We were going to the Depeche Mode concert, and we spent the day hanging out - had a nice lunch, went to the Christmas Story house, and the Cleveland Library. We were having a glass of wine in our hotel room before going to dinner and Rob surprised Karyn with the proposal. Then we celebrated at Acuqua di Luca, a wonderful italian seafood restaurant. As we shared our news, they gave us a champagne toast and free dessert! Topping off the evening, the Depeche Mode concert was absolutely amazing!
