Our Wedding

<p>While we might not have known it then, our story begins in our freshmen technology class where we were partners on our "Get to Know Our Partner" video assignment. Little did we know we would get to look back at these videos three years later when we began dating. You will use things from school in the future. Following high school we both decided to attend Northwestern where we truly began to look into our future and where we wanted to go in life. Then came the day I, Jacob got to ask Karyss to be his future wife and she said yes!</p>

Hannah has been my best friend since just fourth grade and we have truly done everything together, including being roommates at college, getting engaged and soon getting married!

Isaiah and I became friends our freshman year of college and became roommate's second semester of that year. We have always gotten along very well, and have a very easy time talking about our struggles and problems with each other. I am proud to say Isaiah is my best friend and although we may not have known each other that long we have a special bond that I have never experienced with any of my other friends before. Isiah is currently on the basketball team at Northwestern and is a very hard worker, doing all he does for the glory of God.

Bethany is my older sister. She is someone I have always strived to be like. She was a great example to me growing up and even to this day. She showed me determination through college, medical school, and her residency!

Camron is currently my roommate and one of my best friends. We became friends during our freshman year of college and easily got along. Cam is always introducing me to new movies and giving me a hard time about not seeing popular ones. =) You can find Cam either at baseball practice working hard, or in the Library studying even harder.

Karina has been such a great addition to my life in college. We met when we were the last two to arrive in a class where all the other seats were full. Since then it has been nothing but giggles and smiles from us. You can find Karina running her heart out at Northwestern and enjoying her time at home in Mankato. 

Karina Hulzebos

I met Luke last year during our freshman year of college. We crossed paths in a bible study and became friends very quickly. Luke is a very hard worker no matter what it is, and you can find him executing this hard work while he plays basketball for Northwestern, which is something he is very passionate about. 

Luke Korver

Emily is a bubbly adventure-loving friend from high school. Emily and I really bonded over our mutual passion for soccer, and love catching up over coffee to this day! 

Emily Eppinga 

Blake is someone who has been a great mentor in my life. I met Blake when I was a freshman in college last year. He quickly invited me to a Bible study that he was leading. Blake is currently my RA, and you will find Blake either in the gym or playing the drums for praise team. 

Blake Johnson

Jenna is Jacob's younger sister. You can typically find her doing one of two things outside of school, coaching gymnastics or sharing her light for Christ with so many around her through TEC and Z8. Jenna brings the dance moves to any situation and is always up for a good time. 

Jenna Folkerts 

Jon is Karyss' brother. I met Jon for the first time sometime last year, thinking I was going to be heavily questioned by him. I was not, but did learn he is very competitive like the rest of the family which is good because so am I. We enjoy playing games together when he is visits. 

Jon Muyskens

Kara is Jacob's other little sister. She brings such a fun and spunky attitude to every situation and also loves to play soccer and be with friends. 

Kara Folkerts

Nate is Karyss' brother. I met Nate probably one of the first times I was at the Muskens' residence. Just like his brother he is also very competitive and enjoys games. Nate also really enjoys performing in plays and I have had the pleasure to watch him perform in two different plays. He is quite good and a really good singer.

Katie and Charlotte are two little sweethearts I have known since they were born. They are a joy to be around and always know how to make you smile!

Gavin is my little brother, 11 years and 1 month younger to be exact. Gavin was adopted into our family in 2016 and was immediately a huge joy to our family. I really enjoyed having a brother considering I had two sisters before Gavin came home. Gavin loves playing all sports and is also very very smart and knows all facts about all animals. Gavin and I enjoy playing catch, and also enjoy playing video games together.

Mckenna is another college friend, after just one short semester we were extremely close. Mckenna is a blast to be around and I do not doubt that she will bring the energy to our lovely wedding day!

Isaac is a friend that I have had since high school, we also work together at Pizza Ranch and have a good time there. You can find Isaac singing his heart out in Dordt's choir. 

Isaac Krommendyk

Anna is my amazing sister-in-law. She has recently finished law school at Drake and is quite the litigator. 

Anna Muyskens 

Cory is a friend that I have had since high school. Cory and I would often work on school projects, and if it was in physics Cory would usually do most of it (with Landon's help). You can find Cory singing in Dordt's Choir, and also competing in Men's Volleyball at Dordt.

Cory Kuperus 

Macy is a childhood best friend of mine. Our childhood often included walking to church after school running around the church like we owned the place and having a blast!

Macy Wassenaar

Landon is a friend that I have had since high school. We often worked on group projects together (Cory included), and in physics I always worked with them because they new the answers and I never had a clue what was going on. Landon currently studies Engineering at Iowa State University.

Michael, or Micky, is the lovely husband of Bethany. if you don't know Micky a fun fact about him is he is a big jokester and an even bigger runner. Enjoy his jokes at the reception!
