Marc was born in Hamburg, Germany on May 22nd, 1989. He grew up in Norderstedt with a younger brother named Janick and a love for soccer (HSV!). In high school, he decided to do an exchange year in Colorado Springs, and he fell in love with the United States. He went to college in Coburg, Germany, but he returned to the States as often as he could. In 2013, he began his Master's degree at Missouri State University.....Kasey was born in Joplin, Missouri on April 27th, 1993. She grew up in Joplin with two younger brothers, Ryan and Eric. In high school, she started learning Spanish, and she realized how much she loved learning languages! In 2011 she started college at Missouri State University, and she became involved with a campus ministry called Christian Campus House. Her love of Spanish and different cultures led her to go on several mission trips with CCH.In December 2013, Kasey decided to join CCH on a mission trip to S.E. Asia the next summer. After she signed up, she realized Marc was going on the trip, too! After Christmas break, the group going on the trip started meeting once a week to prepare, and after a few weeks Marc started asking Kasey to do things together (aww). They went running, started training for a triathlon, watched How I Met Your Mother, and ate German chocolate. One day he asked her out on a date to see a Liam Neeson movie, and the rest is history. &lt;3

The Beginning

Obviously international dating wasn't always easy. After Marc graduated with his Master's in 2015, he had to go back to Germany because his student visa was no longer valid. :( He took Kasey with him over the summer to meet his family, but then she had to go back home. She finished her last semester at MSU, and then....She moved to Germany, too!She learned German (not as easy as Spanish...) and they started working together with under-aged refugees. They had lots of adventures and visited places like Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, and of course all over Germany! On one of their adventures (Austria), Marc asked her to marry him! And of course she said "YES"....

Then came the tricky part. If you think international dating is hard, try international engagement! Long story short, 7 months later, America approved of our love (woohoo!) and here we are. We are so thankful and blessed to be here, and we are so glad we get to celebrate with you all! Thanks for all of your love and support. &lt;3~Kasey and MarcP.S. Thanks, Obama! ;)
