It all started with a swipe right on Hinge. Murphy swiped right because he noticed Kasey's height and she had a Jurassic Park quote on her profile. Kasey swiped right because she thought he had the most beautiful blue eyes (& his profile listed his biggest pet peeve as drivers who don't use their blinkers). They bonded over their mutual love of Jurassic Park and having a mom who is an identical twin.

Kasey and Murphy traveled to Washington, D.C. during her spring break. On St. Patrick's Day 2023, they went to the Smithsonian Natural History museum to see some dinosaur fossils. At the T. Rex fossil (the couple's favorite dinosaur), Murphy asked Kasey if she would marry him and she said YES!
