The cookie table is a tradition that dates back to the early Twentieth Century and the hardships of The Great Depression. Immigrants in the Northeast Ohio area utilized their baking traditions to create a cookie table in lieu of an elaborate wedding cake. This task was shared among grandmothers, aunts, and cousins. The women of the family are proud to call it a labor of love.
