Our Story

Love in the middle of Chaos

Picture of Love in the middle of Chaos

In August 2020, the world was at the beginning of the COVID pandemic. Sitting on the couch during my first of FIVE quarantines, I decided to make a dating profile. What else would I be doing? The first handful of swipes led me to someone, I didn't know I would grow so fond of.

Within a couple of hours, we quickly bonded over movies, shows, and our mutual love for East Tennessee, and all things Disney.

After the exchange of numbers and a couple of weeks of getting to know each other more than we have gotten to know anyone else, Joshua was going to fly to Tennessee to visit his Mother.

I didn't want to wait longer, knowing I was returning to work and our schedules would not align.

September 10, 2020, I asked around 10 PM to meet me at the Safety Harbor Pier, as that was the closest middle point for us both. Sorry mom, I know I should probably not meet strange men, especially late at night (Lol)

But after that first meeting, I knew I had met someone entirely different, from anyone I had ever dated.

Weeks turned into months of hanging out. In February 2021 we took our First vacation as a couple to Tennessee to meet Joshua's mom and stay in the dreamiest Tree House!

In August 2021, we went to see Primus, and Celebrated, what felt like the quickest year ever with each other. By then, we had already known we were each other's person. I was ready to propose myself and break the "norms" of traditional proposals and Marriage.

On August 18, 2022, Joshua beat me to it.

I had booked us a tour of the Savannas with the wild animals on Disney property; we were strapped into harnesses, with no personal items allowed, as we were running around and walking bridges over animal habitats. While eating our lunch with a view of Giraffes, Zebras, Wildabeats, and much more. Josh slid his hand by mine, being as discreet as possible, and asked me for forever. Obviously, with no personal items allowed, we kept it small and to ourselves, and I would not change a single thing. Intimate and "practically perfect, in every way".

So now here we are, planning our Happily Ever After.
