2 years before Kassidi and Brendan met, God placed a message on Kassidi’s mom’s (Kyli) grieving heart that Brendan would be her future son in law. Fast forward 2 years on a Sunday morning in July when God would use Kassidi’s aunt (Heidi) to orchestrate their first time meeting, without knowing Brendan was said future son in law. Heidi (who randomly spotted Brendan) cornered him with the idea of Brendan ‘teaching her niece guitar lessons’. Brendan thought he’d be teaching a 12 year old girl how to play guitar, not his future wife. Heidi then proceeded to invite Brendan to Kassidi’s family’s house for a BBQ to celebrate a mutual friend. Boldly, Brendan came to the BBQ, thinking worst comes to worst, he would get some good brisket. During the BBQ, Kassidi was mortified by the way her friends and family were trying to force conversation between the two of them. Brendan on the other hand, had no clue it was a set up. A few weeks after the BBQ, Kassidi asked Brendan if he would want to teach her guitar. He gladly agreed to meet her for coffee and talk about guitars. Again, Brendan was clueless that they were not actually meeting to talk about guitars. Kassidi learned more about guitars and music theory than she ever thought she would in those 2 hours. Weeks went by and the two decided to go on a hike with their dogs. They enjoyed each other’s company despite the miserable weather they faced. Two weeks later it was Kassidi’s birthday. Brendan attended the gathering with Kassidi’s friends and family to celebrate her on that beautiful September day. From that day on the two of them talked every day. On October 14, 2024 Kassidi and Brendan officially began to date. The only thing that ever separated the two was work and being out of town. Their love for each other has only grown since then. They both view their relationship as a gift from God and thank him every day for the blessing that it is. They know that God ordained this union and look forward to the future they get to share together to honor Him.
