Kassie and Andrew first met when they were assigned as RAs to the luxurious Rawlings Hall (unofficially ranked 25/26 of the best UF dorms) sophomore year. They began to develop a friendship before Kassie moved to the less "crusty" (in her words) dorm across the sidewalk. They spent the next three years developing a friendship that led the two to be inseparable.

3 years later Andrew moved to Charlotte.

And Kassie stayed in Gainesville to pursue a Law degree. The two stayed in touch during the first year apart but really reconnected when Kassie flew to Charlotte one weekend durning her second year. Kassie and Andrew picked up right where they left off and Andrew began his pursuit. And after (only...) 1 entire year, she finally said yes to a proper first date!

Kassie then spent almost every weekend with the beautiful view of an American Airlines seat back (shoutout to Andrew Kilanowski and Aunt Linda!) as she flew standby to Charlotte to see Andrew. After 6 years of the friendship, Kassie and Andrew finally began dating. They were so excited and when they called all their friends to tell them the news, they receieved responses like "finally", "took you guys long enough" and "I thought you were already dating?"

Kassie and Andrew spent the next 18 months traveling, watching the Amazing Race, laughing at and sometimes with each other, moving in with each other and spending all their time together. Andrew knew years before that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Kassie so on December 19, 2022 at the top of a mountain he asked Kassie to marry him.
