<p class="text-center">Greg and Kat met in July of 2016 at a Black Lives Matter&nbsp;march against the unjust deaths of&nbsp;Alton Sterling and Philando Castillo. The next day over coffee and collection of&nbsp;donations for a community event, Kat and Greg discovered they had many shared interests.&nbsp;Over the following months they grew closer, organizing together as well as supporting each others' separate projects. On election day of 2016, Greg and Kat helped create&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pdxresistance.org/">Portland's Resistance</a>, a&nbsp;community response to the November 2016 election of Donald Trump. Together with great&nbsp;friends, activists&nbsp;and community&nbsp;members they grew this organization, throwing events like <a href="https://www.kptv.com/news/crowds-march-through-downtown-portland-for-eclipse-hate-event/article_3bba4f1a-c07e-57c9-8611-81117c667143.html">Eclipse Hate</a> to unite the community and counter fascism. Their work and union has&nbsp;been featured in national&nbsp;publications like <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/mar/29/resistance-movement-portland-oregon-protests-trump">The Guardian</a> as well multiple&nbsp;local Portland newspapers. On May 23rd 2018 they welcomed their son Stokely Da'Marcus McKelvey into the world and they're expecting Sojourner Hollis McKelvey in September of 2019.&nbsp;</p>
