A first date ensued at Ballard's famous mexican restaurant Matador followed by a walk of Andrei's beloved basset hound Odyss and a sunset at Golden Gardens. The two then headed back to Matador for late night conversation, drinks, and Andrei's second plate of nachos. The next day, both Kat and Andrei had a feeling their lives were about to change as they each texted family and friends saying "this might be the one".

They dated throughout the summer, Andrei showing Kat his favorite spots in Seattle. Days before her birthday, Andrei took Kat to Kerry Park and officially asked to be her boyfriend. Since then, the adventorous two have traveled to San Francisco, Hawaii, Arizona, Tel Aviv, the Dead Sea, Rome, gotten engaged in Barcelona, and now have their sights locked on Cabo San Lucas!
