Parking

Parking is available in E Lot (by Roland Field House entrance), J Lot (by Roland Gym entrance), and K Lot (between Yeaton and McAllister Hall). There is handicap parking available at the ceremony and reception locations.

Getting Around

To get from the Chapel to the reception, it is a short walk through beautiful Robert Crown Park. All sidewalks are paved but there are some hills and steep stairs between the two.Much of the Academy is built on a hill and the Chapel sits at the top. If necessary, you can also drive and drop family off at the Ceremony or Reception.

Front Gate

The Front Gate is the ONLY way you will be able to enter the Academy campus, other gates are not open to the public. The front gate is located directly off of Mohegan Ave.Real ID is required to enter the Academy. Examples of Real ID include a Real ID Driver's License, a passport or passport card, Military ID, or any other federally issued ID.

Hotels and Travel

Mystic 

Located 20 minutes from the Coast Guard Academy and 20 minutes from Westerly, <a href="https://thisismystic.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Mystic</a> is a beautiful coastal town with a variety of things to do. Olde Mystic Village lots of unique shops and restaurants and is close to several hotels, Mystic Seaport is full of maritime history, and Downtown Mystic has tons of shopping, restaurants, and bars, including the location of the after party.

Foxwoods

Located about 30 minutes from the Coast Guard Academy, <a href="https://foxwoods.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Foxwoods</a> is one of the largest casinos in the world. There are hotels attached to the casino as well as nearby. There are lots of dining options, shopping, and other activities available in the casino.

Westerly

Westerly is Kata's hometown and is about 30 minutes from the Coast Guard Academy. <a href="https://www.visitrhodeisland.com/things-to-do/trip-ideas-getaways/village-experiences-shops/westerly/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Westerly</a> has a great downtown with plenty of shopping, restaurants and bars but is best known for being a beach community, and some public beaches include Misquamicut State Beach and East Beach in Watch Hill. Watch Hill is a beautiful beach town, a great place to catch a sunset, and ice cream at St. Claire's Annex is a must do every summer. Parking there tight during the summer, and Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are getting married at the Ocean House in Watch Hill the same day as Kata and Justin (we picked the date first) so you can expect some celebrities guests in the area.
