Pay Heed, All Who Enter: One of the most historic and celebrated basketball arenas in college sports, historic Allen Fieldhouse is home to the men's and women's basketball teams and has the greatest home-court advantage in the country. Check out the Booth Family Hall of Athletics for the trophies, and the DeBruce Center to see James Naismith's original rules of basketball.

Mass Street, as it is also known, is the main road through downtown Lawrence. Bring a reusable bag (Lawrence is plastic-free) and do some shopping and eating at local stores you won't find anywhere else. A few of our favorites are The Striped Cow, Wonderfair, Weavers, Game Nut, Waxman's Candles, and The Raven.

You can find us here most Saturday mornings when the market is in season! Some of our favorite vendors are the Flory's for sausage biscuit sandwiches, Slow Rise Donuts for sourdough donuts, and Torched Goodness for made-to-order Creme Brulee.

A Kansas City institution since 1989. Tours can be arranged ahead of time, and the beer hall and rec deck are fun places to hang out, play games, and take in the skyline of Kansas City.

Kansas City's original distillery! Check out the outdoor Electric Park Garden and the Monogram Lounge for delicious cocktails and food, or take a tour of their facility.

Head over to the "The Plaza" for a fun afternoon of shopping, some of KC's famous fountains, and make sure to check out the Made in KC store for plenty of local goods.

Home to a wide variety of art collections and exhibitions, admission to the museum is free. Katarina enjoys the Monets, and Brandon likes the Japanese woodblock pieces.
