We met at the YoungLife ski trip that previous Christmas break! A few months later, Carson asked Kate on a Chick-fil-a car date (thanks COVID). We began talking and going on more dates, & soon became official — this is our first picture together!

Even though we went to rival high schools—Arlington High and Martin—we always showed up to cheer each other on at baseball games and cross country meets.

When Carson signed to play baseball at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, we knew long distance was ahead—he was graduating and leaving, while Kate still had a year left in Arlington.

Long-distance dating officially began!

Fast forward—Kate graduates from high school & gets ready to head to Baylor University that fall.

Kate, now a freshman at Baylor, brings Carson to Melody Ranch for some classic Waco two-stepping—just one of many fun weekends spent visiting each other during long distance.

Carson attended many of Kate's Pi Beta Phi events throughout their college years,

Kate attended many of Carson's UMHB baseball games throughout their college years.

Long distance didn’t end when summer began—Kate spent two summers working at Pine Cove Towers, and Carson made countless weekend trips to visit her in Tyler, Texas.

It was another one of Kate’s Pi Beta Phi events, but later that night, Carson told her for the first time that he wanted to marry her.

Carson proposed to Kate on the rooftop of 1928 — her most favorite place in Waco, Texas. It was truly the greatest day of our lives!!!

Carson graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, and Kate graduated from Baylor University. We are SO excited to begin this next chapter together in Dallas, as Kate pursues her masters degree and Carson begins his new job. The Lord has been so faithful in our journey—blessing us with five wonderful years together, and forever more. See y’all January 10th in our hometown —Arlington, Texas!!!
