Q + A

Where do we park for the Welcome Party?

Parking downtown can be tricky. If you aren’t walking or taking an uber, these are a few parking options: 1. Valet parking at The Restoration is available for $15. Spaces are limited in availability and are provided on a first come, first serve basis. 2. The Coxe Avenue Parking Garage, located at 52 Coxe Ave, is the nearest parking deck. The rates are charged by the hour maxing out at $12/day. This lot is conveniently adjacent to the hotel’s south entrance. Street Parking & Mobile App. Lots are plentiful throughout the city but can fill up on weekends. Download the ParkMobile app in advance. Be certain to check postings for restrictions and rates.

What is the dress code?

Dress for the welcome party is dressy casual. Dress code for the wedding is black tie optional. This means tuxedo/suit and tie for men and long gowns or dressy cocktail dresses for women. We love color, so please feel free to bring your own style to the party!

Will the wedding have any activities outside?

The ceremony and dinner will be inside with cocktail hour and dancing held in a fully tented courtyard. We will have heaters at the ready for any cold weather in the courtyard!

What can we expect for transportation to the wedding venue and/or parking availability?

We are providing charter bus service to and from the Deerpark venue at Biltmore Estates with pickup and dropoff stops in downtown Asheville at three hotels: The Element, The Restoration, and Embassy Suites. Buses will depart the hotels at 5pm sharp. If you are not staying near one of these hotels, free parking is available at The Element 62 College Place, Asheville NC 28801; after you park, go to the front desk to get a temporary parking permit. The buses will make a few different trips back to these hotels throughout the night, with the last buses departing at 11:30pm. Ubers will not generally pickup on the Biltmore property late at night, so please expect to use the buses for the evening. We kindly request no one to drive to the venue (unless you are staying on the Biltmore property) to keep everyone safe on our special night!

When should I book travel?

We encourage you to book your flights and hotel as soon as possible! Asheville's peak 'leaf season' is October and is typically the busiest time of year. Low cost airline tickets go fast. Please see the 'Travel' tab for our recommended hotels and airports.

Are children allowed?

The children listed on your invitation are welcome to join us for both the welcome party and the wedding! At the wedding, there will be a special kids table for kids under 10 so they have more freedom and don’t have to sit still during dinner. The first bus will leave at 9pm if you need to get them back to the hotel to sleep early.

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to capacity constraints of the venue, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on the invitation.
