In February 2020, Kate and Quinn crossed paths, not knowing it was the beginning of their forever. They were both taking Discrete Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, sitting on opposite sides of the room in a class of about 25 students. Kate sat near the front with her friend, while Quinn sat near the back with his friends. For weeks, they coexisted without realizing each other's presence.

Then came a message from a guy named "Quinn" on a dating app. He asked Kate if she had seen the latest episode of "The Bachelor", something she'd mentioned in her profile. They chatted back and forth about the show for a bit, but after a few texts, Kate left him on read.
