<p>Kate and Ryan both remember the day they met very vividly. It was a hot June afternoon at the St. Mary's fair in 2008 - Kate was with her group of friends and Ryan was with his. Kate was standing with her best friend, Ashley, when Ryan approached them and gifted Ashley a prize he had just won, instantly making Kate very jealous. That day, they started a friendship that would span over 7 years, until 2015 when they decided to make things official. The rest is history.</p>

Ashley and Kate were born to be best friends. After meeting at a family party at a local VFW in 1996, they have been inseparable ever since. Having been friends for over 20 years, Ashley has seen the best and the worst of Kate. The number of memories and inside jokes over the last 20 years would make your head spin. Kate considers Ashley her “soulmate” and couldn’t picture her wedding without Ashley by her side.

Way back in 2006, two shy and anxious girls had a Photography class together and the rest is history. They immediately paired up and have been like “sisters” since. They quickly bonded over making fun of people in their class and they have carried that love with them for 15 years, referring to each other as the “sister they never had.”

It was a sunny day in 6th grade in Mr. Ryan’s homeroom class. A cute boy walks in and Kate takes notice of him immediately. However, that cute boy with the bowl cut was actually “Alexandra.” Once she found out Alex was a she, their friendship exploded as they realized they had a lot of mutual friends and lived in the same area. Alex is the reason Kate is a bad person. Despite never getting caught, Kate and Alex together are the ultimate force of (property) destruction.

Kate considers Patty her “favorite coworker ever” despite not working together for like 6 years. With the same sick sense of humor bonding them together, Kate and Patty have been friends since the day they both realized they have Alex Harris in common. Alex used to talk extensively about her friend “Patty at Toys R Us” and Kate was always jealous of their seemingly awesome friendship. However, upon finally meeting Patty for herself years later, Kate understood the hype and now here we are.

The day Kate met Ryan’s mom for the first time 15 years ago, she was 8 months pregnant with little Ashley. Ryan had begged her to give us a ride home from the Red Bank Fireworks and she only showed up because he “had girls with him” despite being very, very pregnant. Ashley has been there through the beginning of our friendship which eventually blossomed into our relationship, and we are so excited to have her stand with us on our big day!

Tom has been Ryan's best friend for over 10 years. From living together, working together, spending almost every Saturday together – there’s very little they don’t know about each other. Despite liking rival football teams, their friendship has withstood time.

Kyle is Ryan’s younger brother, so you can argue no one knows Ryan as well as he does. Kyle looked up to Ryan from day 1 and now they share the exact same hobbies, personality, and interests. They were able to bond their whole lives over various video games and now even own a joint “game room” which is Ryan’s greatest achievement besides his cat, Leo and of course, marrying Kate.

Kyle Wendaur

John is one of Ryan’s oldest friends, they go all the way back to 2005 where they met at North. Their friendship consisted of playing guitar, sports, and Jagermeister. Ryan was a groomsman in John's recent wedding, and now it's time to return the favor!

Phil is considered Kate and Ryan's adult son. After much begging, Ryan has allowed him to be a member of the party.

Johnny and Ryan grew up together before Johnny's family relocated to Georgia. They were incredibly close growing up, and Ryan is so excited to have him as a member of his party.

Our officiant, Hannah, is Kate’s sister. She is wearing blue as she is also Kate’s “something blue” for the wedding. She has officiated a bunch of marriages, some more official than others. We are so excited for her have such an important role in our day!
