Everyone who knows Jeff and I, knows that we are a little eclectic. Why would our wedding be any different? For the most part our wedding will be like most, but we are choosing to forego a few traditions that just don't reflect our personal taste, and include less common traditions that just sounded fun.

The main event of our wedding will be our handfasting ceremony. Much like lighting a candle together or mixing sand, our hands will be physically bound together as we say our vows to represent us becoming one. The colors of the cords used to bound our hands represent devotion (white), prosperity (green) and kindness (orange). These also happen to be our wedding colors!

The ceremony will be followed by dinner, dancing, lawn games and s'mores over the fire.
