Back in September of 2016, Kate and Christian met working at the historic Oyster House in Olympia, Washington, one of the oldest waterfront restaurants in the state of Washington. At the time, Kate had just moved to Olympia from Arizona, and Christian was looking for the next big opportunity. In essence, they were both just kids trying to make it in the big world at the time. Although the work environment didn't turn out to be the best, Kate and Chris bonded over many long shifts as co-managers, and over the shared belief that workers should be treated with respect. Although their time at the Oyster House didn't last, it did spark a connection that has now been almost ten years in the making. When they visit Washington, Kate and Christian like to return to the Oyster House, (which is under new ownership), to reminisce.

Flying in for the wedding? The closest airport to Cottonwood is Phoenix International Sky-Harbor Airport. Travel from the airport to Cottonwood is about an hour and forty-five minutes.

Groome Transportation offers a shuttle on the hour from Phoenix up to Cottonwood. From the drop-off location, the venue is about 15 minutes away by taxi. Shuttle space is limited- reserve your shuttle to and from the airport ahead of time.

The venue itself is located in a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of Cottonwood. From the venue, Old Town (downtown) Cottonwood is about 15 minutes away. For other services, such as grocery stores, Wal-Mart, ect. you are about 10 minutes away.
