Timeline

Leigh Court is best accessed by car. If you’re not driving to Bristol let us know and we can help arrange car shares. It’s about a 10 minute drive from Clifton and 15 minutes from Bristol city centre or from near Cribbs Causeway. Cars can be left overnight and need to be picked up by 10:30am.

The Observatory is accessed on foot from the Clifton side of the Clifton Suspension Bridge. On street parking is available in and around Clifton Village.

Travel

There are plenty of options for hotels and Airbnbs around Bristol but we recommend booking early as it’s a bank holiday weekend.

Airbnbs

For Airbnbs, we’d suggest looking on the Leigh Woods side of the Clifton Suspension Bridge (it’s out of Bristol centre so generally a bit cheaper). For example areas like Failand, Backwell and Flax Bourton.

Hotels

Clifton is closest area to the venues - around 10 minutes by car to Leigh Court for the ceremony and around a 10 minute walk to the Observatory on the Sunday. There are a few Clifton hotel suggestions below but anywhere in Bristol would be easily accessible. AVON GORGE HOTEL BY HOTEL DU VIN VICTORIA SQUARE HOTEL NUMBER 38 CLIFTON PLUS ANY OF THE USUAL CHAINSTravel Lodge, Holiday Inn, Mercure and Hilton/Doubletree all have multiple Bristol hotels. Those near Cribbs Causeway are convenient from the motorway and often cheaper. Those in town are great for exploring Bristol and are walkable for the Sunday (both areas are around a 15 minute drive to Leigh Court).

Accommodation

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Smart attire encouraged, for example suits, cocktail dresses, jumpsuits or similar.

IS THERE A GIFT REGISTRY?

Nope. Please just bring yourselves and your dancing feet!

WHAT ABOUT KIDS?

We aren't inviting little ones on the Saturday but childish behaviour is absolutely encouraged. On the Sunday, we'd love to see the whole family including any kind grandparents or babysitters who have made the trip!

WHEN SHOULD WE ARRIVE?

Please arrive anytime from 11:30 to join Laurence for a quick drink and bite to eat before the ceremony. We ask that you take your seats for the ceremony at 12:10.

WHAT IF I CAN'T FIT EVERYTHING IN MY BAG?

Don't worry, we've got lots of space so bring anything you want and it can be left in the 'dressing room'. If you forget anything, hopefully we'll have the basics covered (as if Laurence would go anywhere without backup hair styling supplies!) but you'll look fabulous regardless.

WHAT ABOUT CASH FOR THE BAR?

There will be an open bar all night so leave those notes/cards/bitcoins at home.
