We are so excited to share our special day with you! Here's your chance to learn the story of Pat and Kate. Let's rewind to April, 2016, when unbeknownst to Pat, his sister Teri decides to try her hand at match making. Teri asks her neighbor Beth if she knows anyone to set Pat up with. Beth says her friend Kate might be interested.Teri does some online "research" and decides that Pat and Kate might be a good fit. She sends Beth a thorough email describing Pat. Beth sends the email to Kate and asks if she's interested in going out on a date. Kate figures she has nothing to lose and says ok. Kate never really thought Pat would call, and figured there was a good chance he might not talk to his sister for a while.Meanwhile, Pat gets a phone call from Teri. The conversation went something like this:Teri: "Hi Pat, would you like me to ask my neighbor Beth if she has any cute single friends to set you up with?Pat: "Sure, why not. Let me know what you find out."Teri: "Ok good! Because I already did. Don't be mad at me. But I sent Beth an email describing you and she forwarded it to her friend Kate. She's expecting you to call her."Pat: "Oh, ok. I'm not mad. Thanks for sending it, what's her last name? What else do you know about her?" ...Now that the wheels were in motion, Pat knew his only option was to call Kate and pray she didn't think his sister was out of her mind. A few nights later Pat called Kate to ask her out for dinner. They met on April 23rd at The Mission. Looking back, it was clear they hit it off pretty quick.Their second date was at Laci's. Pat had to ask, "So what did Teri say in that email?" Kate read the email aloud, and Teri described her brother as the perfect human. Pat was very thankful for Teri writing the email, but she set the bar, really, really, high.For date three, they met at Alto Cinco for dinner, and went to go see a Paul Simon cover band at the Westcott Theatre. The band was playing the entire Graceland album. Kate knew this was something special when Pat confessed he is a huge Taylor Swift fan.Turns out it was amazing they never met each other. They had grown up very close to each other, attended the same elementary school, high school, and church. Pat played basketball and baseball with Kate's brother Mike. Kate's sister Eileen remembers sitting next to Pat's sister Tina in elementary school orchestra. Their parents even knew each other, which really took the pressure off at the post-engagement meet the parents' dinner! Pat and Kate even lived on the same street one summer while renting apartments by Syracuse University. Apparently they didn't meet until the time was right!Since then, we've had many special memories with friends and family. Whether it's been spending time together in the Adirondacks, Puerto Rico, Montreal, at Association Island, or hanging out around Liverpool. We can't thank Teri and Beth enough for making the connection! For anyone looking for a match- The Briar Patch Match Makers will both me bridesmaids--- be sure to introduce yourselves.

For those of you famillar with Syracuse, it's right across from Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub and is a short walk from our reception at Sky Armory.Use the link below to book blocked rooms at a discounted price.If you choose to book over the phone, please be sure that you're booking at the Residence Inn, not the Courtyard.
