Kate and Alex met in 2017 through their club sports teams at UConn. Alex put his arm around Kate at a Ted's karaoke night and the rest is history!

Just one month after the two started dating, Alex graduated from UConn and Kate moved back down to Maryland for the summer. They visited each other a few times this summer and spent their trips getting to know each other's friends and families.

In the fall of 2017, Alex started graduate school at Fairfield University and Kate returned to UConn for her junior year. The two were both busy with school and work but managed to visit each other every chance they had as Alex enjoyed his two bonus years at UConn :)

Fast forward two years, and Kate was graduating from UConn and moving to Boston while Alex remained in Connecticut to finish up his last year of grad school. They consider this their first real year in Boston as Alex visited most weekends and they were able to explore their new city together.

In July of 2020, Alex finally moved to Boston to start as a School Counselor at Xavarian Brothers High School.

As the pandemic continued, the two enjoyed the luxury of finally living in the same city. They spent countless nights in Kate's North End apartment with the rest of the quarantine crew making up new games to try to stay entertained and participating in way more egg races than they thought possible at the ages of 24 and 25.

Finally, in early summer of 2021, life started up again. Over the course of the next year, 11 of their best friends from UConn moved to Boston and the city became their home filled with so many loved ones.

In August of 2022, Kate and Alex moved in together in South, Boston, and on October 8th, Alex got down on one knee and asked Kate to marry him.

And now we're here! We know our journey is a long one and that we wouldn't be where we are today without all of your love and support.
