Venue Q&A
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
If the weather permits, the ceremony will be taking place on the outdoor lawn; we recommend flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass. The reception will be held indoors.
Is there parking located at the venue?
Yes. There is a large parking lot outside of the venue.
Weather/Travel Q&A
Do you have hotel block for guests?
YES!! Please see the 'Travel' tab on this website for more information.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
Anything from harsh rain, raging winds, intense humidity or a perfect day besides the lake :) Prepare for summer in the Midwest!
Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?
Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including small-town stores, coffee shops, and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding.
Will the Midwest Cicadas be abundant outside at the time of the wedding?
No, they should emerge in May and disappear before the end of June.
Attire Q&A
What should I wear?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit & tie or a sports coat.
General Q&A
What time is the ceremony?
The Ceremony begins at 4:30. Signs will lead you to the ceremony location at the Pavilion.
What time should I arrive?
Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.
Note: The venue has a restaurant & bar separate from our event if you are in need of additional food/drinks prior to the ceremony.
What time does the reception end?
You will be ushered towards the exit at 10:50 to see the Bride & Groom off at 11:00pm when the venue closes.
Are kids welcome?
In order to allow all of our guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation and fun, we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion. We hope that this advance notice means that you will still be able to share in our big day!
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages during a cocktail hour.
