Our story began on the dating app we owe everything to, Hinge. After texting for a couple days, we met for a drink a few days later at the ML Rose off 8th Ave. Our first date mostly consisted of playing the name game, during which we realized we knew a ton of the same people having both grown up in the Nashville area. We were both relieved to find out that the other was “normal,” which is, of course, the number one priority of any first date.
Our second date was more of a “real” date at the Indian restaurant Chaatable. This is when I experienced more of Joe’s personality and realized how funny and fun to be around he is. The night flew by, and suddenly the waiters were stacking chairs on tables, sending not-so-subtle messages that they were closing and for us to leave. I remember mentioning this to Joe, but he shrugged and said he felt we could stay a few more minutes. I was excited to realize that he must be having fun too…

After that, the rest is history. Joe proposed over the 4th of July weekend at my family’s lake house with both of our families there!
