Kate and Jason both found their way to Jacksonville, Florida for career purposes. Jason, in September 2020, to begin his duty as an officer on board the submarine, USS Maryland, and Kate, in January 2022, as a physical therapist for a local sports performance clinic.

Kate and Jason did their CrossFit gym research before moving to Jacksonville, and both ultimately decided on CrossFit Total Control West (TCW). Jason was in Kate's very first class at TCW, but neither of them said anything to each other, of course.

Despite being an introvert, Kate's position as a physical therapist requires her to network, so on February 21st, 2022, she was really just doing her job when she said, "what's your name again," as Jason was bent over tying his shoe. The flood gates opened and Jason proceeded to talk to Kate for the rest of the class. Part of the discussion included their mutual love for their dogs, which resulted in their first date, 5 days later, at a local dog park.

The dogs did indeed get in a bit of a tif, but Jason wasn't discouraged and asked Kate to go to the beach with her the next day. Kate was a little nervous, but alas, she agreed and ended up loving every minute of Jason's relaxed, genuine demeanor.

Over the next few dates they found most of their mutual interests, including coffee, pool time, ice cream, and the outdoors (Kate pretended to like the mountain biking part though). Not too long after, Jason gave himself the best birthday present ever... a girlfriend named Kate.

The year after included multiple deployments, Harley and Cooper becoming best siblings, and a growing love and respect for each other and the vision they have for their life. It became increasingly clear that they were perfect teammates, so now it's time to celebrate and seal the deal!
