EVERYTHING TO KNOW FOR THE CEREMONY
The ceremony will be held at the Haig-Brown House in Campbell River. This is a 25 min drive from the Black Creek Community Hall and ~ 40 minutes from Comox/Courtenay. Please plan to arrive with enough time to be seated by 3:20. There is no parking at the Haig Brown House so please park at Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church (2215 Campbell River Rd, Campbell River) or on the street and walk across to Haig Brown House (1 min walk). See parking page for more information. The ceremony is on grass so please plan your shoes accordingly. There is only access to an outhouse bathroom in the driveway on the left hand side of the Haig Brown House (we don't have access to the house itself so please do not go inside). Following the ceremony you are invited to head back to Black Creek Community Hall for the reception.
EVERYTHING TO KNOW FOR THE RECEPTION
Following the ceremony please travel back to Black Creek Community Hall (~ 25 min drive) for the reception. There will be a cocktail hour with lawn games, snacks and beverages. Dinner service will be starting around 6:00. Please see shuttles for the remaining information.
BC Ferries (Do I need a reservation?? Yes if you plan to come to the wedding!!!)
IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO COME ON BC FERRIES PLEASE PLAN AHEAD AND BOOK YOUR FERRY RESERVATION AHEAD OF TIME .100% of the ferries from Horseshoe bay are reservable which means you cannot show up and wait to get on the ferry that day - YOU WILL NOT GET ON THE FERRY- If you don't reserve we can guarantee you will miss the wedding.
*Please note this is heading into a long weekend which will make it nearly impossible to get a reservation last minute. We will have no way of getting you onto the island.
Getting to Vancouver Island
There are a few options for getting to Vancouver Island.
#1 BC Ferries - The closest ferry terminal is Departure Bay Nanaimo and the next best option is Duke Point Nanaimo. These are location 1.5-2 hours away from Comox Valley. Please see the FAQ on BC Ferries.
#2 Fly - We are in close proximity to Comox Valley airport and Harbour Air Terminal in Comox. Additionally, Campbell River & Nanaimo both have airports as well.
