What will the weather be like?

Great question! Unfortunately, mountain weather is extremely unpredictable, especially in September. There could be rain, sunshine, or a dusting of snow. We recommend checking the forecast often leading up to the wedding day, as it could change abruptly. The ceremony will be outside (weather dependent), and the reception will be inside. We recommend bringing extra layers just in case!

What should I wear?

The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. This includes suits and cocktail dresses or evening gowns.

Who can I bring with me?

Anyone whose name was included on your invitation. If a guest was noted when you RSVP on our website, you may bring one guest. While we love your children, we have decided to limit the number of children invited to our wedding to family-only.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Guests can begin loading the gondola at 3:30 PM, and should plan to arrive at the top by 4:15 PM. The gondola ride is approximately 12 minutes, so please plan accordingly!

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

The ceremony & cocktail hour will be held at the top of the mountain on the Mount Rainier Platform. After the cocktail hour is finished, all guests will take the gondola back down to the Mountain Commons Lodge at the base of the mountain for our reception.

Will there be transportation to and from the hotels to the venue?

Most hotels/lodging options are walking distance to the venue, with the exception of LOGE Alta Crystal and some AirBNB & VRBOs. We will not be scheduling any transportation from those locations, so please plan accordingly! If you plan to drive yourself, there is parking at the venue.

Are there any other events besides the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour & reception?

Yes, the night before the big day, we will be at the Snorting Elk Cellar for welcome drinks at 8 PM. We will also have an after party at the Snorting Elk after the reception is over. This bar is located next to the resort (walking distance), and is located below the Alpine Inn Hotel & Restaurant. These 2 events will have a no-host bar & will be for 21+ guests only!
