We Both Swiped Right! After a slew of bad online dates, Kate was about to give up and promised herself if this first date wasn't a good one, she was going to swear off online dating!

Well, on a very cold, snowy November evening (the 20th if you were wondering!) Kate & Garrett decided to meet up at a local bar, &nbsp;for a drink (to make sure the other wasn't an axe murderer!)



One drink led to two and the conversation got better and better! Kate knew from the minute she walked in something was different about this guy. He was sweet, kind, polite and a perfect gentleman. They talked about everything from work, to movies & travel and both agreed how Iceland was at the top of their bucket lists to travel to.



After about 6 months of dating, they decided to move in together. Kate had just taken a new job out on Long Island and was practically spending every weekend at Garrett's anyway, the move just made sense!Together they made Garrett's West Babylon apartment their home and was the place their love truly bloomed.



On a whim, Kate stumbled upon a fantastic deal on airfare to Iceland, their dream vacation-they even talked about Iceland on their very first date! They took the plunge and booked the vacation! Little did Kate know, she would be returning with an extra special souvenir! 



On the third day of their trip, after a waiting out an infamous Icelandic 15 minute blizzard, on Black Diamond Beach, Garrett got down on one knee and surprised Kate with the most romantic proposal...and of course she said YES!

The couple (read: Kate)&nbsp;was thrilled to begin wedding planning, and quickly set into motion the arrangements for their dream day...until March 2020. The world was put on pause while we learned to mask up and properly wash our hands to avoid Covid-19. After shedding a lot of&nbsp;tears they decided it was the safest decision for their loved ones to postpone their October 2020&nbsp;wedding, luckily the couple was able to ensure all current vendors and venues were available on a new date set in April of 2021.

Unfortunately, the world still had not been able to completely combat Covid-19 and just shy of a new vaccine roll out, a large gathering would still put their guests at risk, and for a second time, the couple opted to delay their nuptials.

Looking ahead to a third and final wedding date,&nbsp;May14, 2022, Kate &&nbsp;Garrett will #FREYNALLY be able to say "I&nbsp;DO." The couple knows this is truly "the one" as this is also the wedding anniversary of Garrett's Grandmother & Grandfather.

Through all the stress, anxiety & tears of having to delay their wedding,&nbsp;learning to both work from home together, survive a global pandemic,&nbsp;&nbsp;Kate & Garrett's relationship is the strongest it's ever been! They found their forever home in Islip Terrace and are now ready to say forever to each other!

Michael and Garrett met when the boys were in high school, there was an instant&nbsp;bond between them.&nbsp;Michael has been one of&nbsp;Garrett's oldest and most dearest friends.&nbsp; Garrett was even names Godfather to Michael's son, Mikey. They are three peas in a pod!&nbsp;There is no other person the Groom could imagine supporting him as he marries the love of his life.

Amber &&nbsp;Kate&nbsp;&nbsp;met at York Collage during Sorority Spring Recruitment in 2007! There was instantly a spark & connection they felt and during the pledging process were matched at Big Sister &&nbsp;Little Sister! They spent the next 2 years side by side at every college & Greek life event on and off campus!&nbsp;

Geography would prove to be their biggest challenge as Amber lives in Maryland & Kate in New York so staying side by side became harder over the years but no matter when or where they were together it was like no time at all had ever passed. The girls have also managed to stay in touch with daily video voice mails-a fun new tool discovered during the pandemic lock down. It wouldn't be a normal day without an MP from either one of them!

Amber is one of Kate's oldest and dearest friends, and no other person could possibly be more fitting as her Matron of Honor!

Fannon & Kate also met in the Spring of 2007 at sorority recruitment! Like Big &&nbsp;Little, Fannon was never too far behind on any college adventures. Fannon was always an amazing support system to Kate and continues to be there for her to this day to listen and answer any medical questions she might have, she even waives the co-pay!&nbsp;Kate &&nbsp;Fannon did manage to "stick it" to their&nbsp;respective geographies, by&nbsp;traveling together to Spain in the Fall of 2017! They continue to reminisce&nbsp;and hope one day, when the travel becomes safe once again they can embark on a new adventure together!

Having met at work while both at Optimum, Garrett & Brandon bonded over their love of video games & especially board games. Couple's game night with Brandon's wife, Marissa, have become a regular event that both couples always look&nbsp;forward to. They've become more frequent now that Kate &&nbsp;Garrett live 6 minutes away!&nbsp;Brandon (with a little nudge from Kate)&nbsp;was even able to get the groom to do the Time Warp during both couples annual&nbsp; participation in the&nbsp;Rocky Horror Picture Show!&nbsp;Brandon is such a&nbsp;special friend to Garrett and after having served as a groomsman in his wedding, is thrilled to have Brandon return the honor.

As the Bride's brother,&nbsp;Garrett is thrilled to have Rich stand with him on such a special day. Rich has always been willing to lend a helping hand whenever the couple needs a help with a house project! Rich always seems to have the answer to any plumbing, electric or wood working problem!&nbsp; Their love for their dogs always keeps them entertained or with a funny story to share.&nbsp; Both guys also bond as they needle and pick on Kate for her silly antics! Garrett's overjoyed to be gaining such a great brother - in - law!

Another one of Kate's Phi My sorority&nbsp;sisters! Heather was Kate's Pledge Mom and always with her for a creative fraternity mixer or pool night at the local college bar, Murph's Study Hall.&nbsp;After college both Kate &&nbsp;Heather moved back home to Long Island where their friendship truly blossomed. Together they re-vamped the Phi Mu Long Island&nbsp;Alumni Chapter, hosting and organizing several events for LI&nbsp;based alumni and taking&nbsp;many adventures on and off Long Island, even as far as Denmark! The girls share a love for all things royal, historical and British-especially high tea-one of their favorite things to do together!&nbsp;&nbsp;Heather has been Kate's rock,&nbsp;and a warm & welcome ear to listen to all of Kate's crazy life and dating stories!

Heather O'Reilly

Jokingly referred to as the Bride's "Brother from another Mother"&nbsp;Garrett&nbsp; & Charlie have created a unique bond while dating Kate.&nbsp; Kate and Charlie have been friends for over ten years! The guys have&nbsp;spent time "bro-ing out" on camping,&nbsp; shooting&nbsp;& fishing trips.&nbsp;&nbsp;While he's often tried,&nbsp;Charlie is still unable to convince Garrett the Met's are a better team than the Yankees.&nbsp;&nbsp;Garrett&nbsp;is thrilled to include Charlie as a groomsmen as he marries&nbsp;Kate knowing he's gaining another life long friend.

As the Groom's twin sister,&nbsp;Kate is overjoyed to be gaining Lindsay not only as a friend but a sister of her very own! Both girls share a love of travel and are always comparing notes about trips they've taken.&nbsp; Spending birthday's and holidays together, even planning a Frey-Cousin-Game Night! Kate &&nbsp;Lindsay have grown close over the years and Kate is thrilled to have Lindsay stand with her on her wedding day.

Truly the star of the show...Franklin was&nbsp;Kate's first love, and will always hold a special place in her, and now Garrett's heart. Unfortunately, Franklin will not be able to participate in the wedding day festivities but will be there with all of us in spirit.
