We had our first date about two weeks before Covid happened, so we spent lots of quality time together going for walks and picnics around MKE and Bayview.

After months of Brian hiding Kate from his family FaceTimes, Kate is finally invited to their family cabin on Ten Mile Lake. Kate was able to meet the family and the cabin friends. One of the best memories Kate has from the trip is seeing Brian get embarrassed for the first time when Dennis (Brian's dad) started tell Kate how they "really play card games".

When it came time for Brian to move back to his family in Iowa, Kate asked Brian to stay because she knew their relationship was something special. Brian felt the same way and accepted a job in Kenosha.

To celebrate Kate's graduation from PA school and completion of her PA board exam, Kate and Brian take a trip to Door County which has now become an annual adventure and has sparked a love for traveling together.

We then moved in together in Bayview with our dog Cooper, and soon after got our puppy Murphy.

Kate and Brian take a trip to Las Vegas, with the help of Brian's sister Maura and her husband Nate, they have a great time taking in all the sights and sounds of the Sin City. Although Kate was the big winner, Brian knew he had already hit the jackpot by getting to have Kate by his side.

We quickly outgrew our apartment and bought our first home in Wauwatosa.

On Christmas, Brian told Kate he had to work all day so would not be able to come to the family festivities. Kate then woke up early to send Brian off to "work". Kate then got to her mom's house where they had Christmas breakfast and soon thereafter Kate, Michael, and Cathi starting opening gifts. Cathi had Kate open a gift that was a Wedding Planning Guide. Kate was confused because she was not engaged and was upset. However, Brian then walked out into where Kate was holding the planner, and proposed! Kate, after interrupting Brian multiple times during his proposal, said YES!
