Our Wedding

We Met

Will and Kate met in the Fall of 2014. They had signed up for the same calculus class at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse where Kate was studying Biology and Will was studying Information Systems. Will sent Kate an email asking if she wanted to meet up to study for the first exam together, and Kate (who was very worried about her grade for this class) gladly accepted. They spent many evenings in the library which then turned into dinners, movie nights, and watching Packer games together.

We Dated

Though they spent a while as friends, both knew that there was something special about the other. They began spending more and more time together, and Will and Kate finally began dating at the end of 2018. After making things official, Will and Kate quickly began adding to their list of adventures! Will and Kate Relationship Stats:- Time Together: 6 1/2 Years- States Visited As a Couple: 18 (Montana, North Dakota, Louisiana, Vermont, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, North Carolina, Delaware, Connecticut, Alaska, Maine + Puerto Rico)- Distance Between Them: 982 Miles (while Kate attended PA school in Washington DC) &amp; 0 Miles (now that they are together again in the Twin Cities)- Fish Caught: 10,873 (probably)

We Got Engaged

In September 2024, Will and Kate planned a long weekend in Northern Minnesota to celebrate Will's birthday. Will's parents (Paul and Dawn) would join them to spend the weekend on a beautiful lake near Ely. Little did Kate know, Will also had a surprise planned. A few days into their trip, the group headed out on their boats for some sunset fishing. Will asked Kate if she could hold his fishing pole while he grabbed something. She began to reel up something heavy, only to find a champagne bottle rather than a fish on the end of the line. When Kate turned around, Will was on one knee with a very special family ring, worn by first his Grandma and then by his mom over the last 70 years. He asked and she, of course, said yes! The group celebrated with a champagne toast and bonfire on the beach.

We Got Married

We exchanged vows in a small ceremony at the Tweed Family Lake House in June 2025. It was absolutely perfect.
