After meeting online, we hit it off on our first date , a day of paddle boarding and enjoying the sunshine on the dock. Our second date was a wild adventure to Toronto to watch a Blue Jays game. By our third date, the day after the baseball game, we decided to make future plans and thought it only reasonable that we forgo the online dating apps and strictly date each other. The rest has been an action packed, fun filled adventure that will only continue as Mr. and Mrs. McMullen.

Mike had BIG PLANS for our engagement....torrential downpour forced him to forgo them and get creative. We were celebrating Canada Day at "The Spa" also known as our cottage, and Mike's parents and sister had just arrived for their first visit. Mike tricked me into coming down to the dock where I found him down on one knee with a large bouquet of flowers and a custom made shelf in the shape of a heart. Here, in one of our favourite places and surrounded by friends and family, Mike asked me to marry him. I was so caught off guard, I actually have no idea what he said.......I appartenly said YES!!
