The couple's story began six years ago in Athens, OH, where they first met through mutual college friends. During the spring semester, Kate and Nick got to know each other and soon realized their connection.

Distance and summer break couldn't separate the two of them. In early August, Nick finally asked Kate to be in a relationship. The couple then headed back to Athens to enjoy Kate's junior and Nick's senior year together.

After Nick graduated college, the couple began long-distance dating for two and a half years before Kate finally moved to Columbus, OH, where they transitioned into their adult lives in harmony.
