We met when we were just 15 years old at Taco John’s—me behind the counter working my first job, and Lucas walking in looking for his. Somehow, in that ordinary moment, something extraordinary began. We started texting, and before long, we were inseparable. We spent nearly every day together after school, celebrating milestones like our sweet sixteen birthdays side by side.

Our young love was something special, but life had other plans. I moved away, and even though we tried to hold on, the distance was too much. Breaking up broke both of our hearts, and we went our separate ways.

Years passed, but we never forgot each other. And then, at 22, as if the universe couldn’t bear to keep us apart any longer, we found our way back to one another. This time, it felt even more right—more grounded, more real.

At 24, we took a trip to the beach in Biloxi, Mississippi. With the waves crashing behind us and the sun beginning to set, Lucas got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. It was simple, beautiful, and so perfectly us.

Now, at 27, we’re finally planning the wedding we once only dreamed about as kids. It’s been a long road, full of growth, love, and second chances—but every step has led us right back to where we’re meant to be: together.
