Leif and Kates story began in 2011 when her sister Sam and Leifs buddy, Danny J introduced them. After their first hangout, Leif joined Kevin and Tina for a bonfire night. Thats when Kates dad, Kevin, made a memorable entrance, tipsy from a gun raffle and eager to keep the party going. He won a NASCAR helmet cooler and pretended to drive it, setting the tone for Leifs introduction to Kates family. Kate wasnt sure if Leif would return after that unconventional meeting, but he did, and they started dating. Leif showed his gentlemanly side, picking Kate up and taking her on low-key dates, whether it was dinner or movie nights at Whiteys. He had a mischievous streak, often choosing scary movies just to tease Kate. Those early days laid the foundation for their relationship, filled with laughter and playful moments. Despite the promising start, Kate unexpectedly pulled away, and they lost touch. Leifs kindness, which had initially drawn her in, became too much for her to handle at the time. Six years went by, and Kates life took different turns. One day, while scrolling through Facebook, she stumbled upon Leifs profile. Curiosity got the better of her, and she worked up the courage to send him a message. They exchanged pleasantries, catching up on lost time, and before long, they agreed to meet up again. Leif, still the gentleman, asked Kate what shed like for dinner, and she requested a steak. He rose to the challenge, preparing a fantastic steak dinner that would surpass her expectations. This time, their reunion sparked a renewed connection, and they began to rekindle their relationship. A few months into their rekindled relationship, Leif gave Kate the ultimate Christmas gift - a key to his house. In that moment, she knew she had found her soulmate, and their love was meant to be. As fate would have it, Kates apartment lease ended soon after, and she seamlessly transitioned into making Leifs house her home. She lovingly transformed his bachelor pad into a warm and cozy space, filling it with laughter and memories. Their bond grew stronger with each passing day, and they were thrilled to share their experiences with Ryker, Leifs pride and joy. Kate had effortlessly taken on the role of Bonus Mom, and the three of them formed an unbreakable trio. As they created new memories together, Kate and Leif knew they had found her forever. Fast forward to 2022, and their family grew with the arrival of baby boy Calvin, bringing immense joy to their lives. As they navigated the beauty of parenthood together, Leif knew he wanted to spend forever with Kate. On Mothers Day in 2022, he seized the moment and proposed to Kate, asking her to be his wife. With tears of happiness and hearts full of love, Kate said yes! Their engagement marked a new chapter in their journey together, surrounded by their precious children, Ryker and Calvin. As they looked forward to building a lifetime of memories, Leif and Kate knew their love would continue to flourish, growing stronger with each passing day. As they eagerly anticipate their special day, Leif and Kate are thrilled to share their joy with loved ones at the picturesque Twin Springs Resort. Surrounded by close friends and family, they will exchange vows and celebrate their love in a beautiful setting. The resorts serene atmosphere will provide the perfect backdrop for their intimate and unforgettable wedding ceremony. With Ryker and Calvin by their side, Leif and Kate will embark on this new chapter in their lives, surrounded by the people they cherish most. The Ceremony and Reception will be held at the resort. Ceremony will start at 4pm, with reception to follow. There will be transportation to and from the hotel.

The Hotel Reservation is under the Smith/Werner Wedding. You can book both Friday 9/19 and Saturday 9/20, or just Saturday 9/20. There will be a $50 incidental fee that is required on Debit or Credit Card at the time of check in. Rooms are $85.00 + Tax a night
