It was a warm July evening of scrolling and swiping when Robbie and Katelyn came across each other’s profiles. While many stories begin with Love-at-first-swipe, this was not the case. After funny exchanges and some borrowed pick-up lines, Katelyn agreed to a first date.

When the day came, Robbie had been having an awful time and debated whether or not to even meet at Chuck Lager’s for drinks and dinner. He did it anyway and met someone that was able to pull him out of his shell despite his difficult day. Katelyn was funny and charming, (slightly intoxicated) and made it an enjoyable evening.

She made him wait for the second date. Perhaps scared of what their connection really meant or too busy living her best life. Regardless, they finally scheduled their second date at Redfire. After dinner she asked him to hang out with friends. He knew he was in😉. After a few more drinks, full of tact, grace, and a mouth full of Fritos, Katelyn leaned in for the first kiss. Despite the flavor of corn chips, it made Robbie laugh and continued their emerging connection.

But Katelyn wanted to continue to see other people. Until one day while Robbie was busy at work she wondered, “is he on a date?”

That night Katelyn told Robbie she wanted to explore their relationship further. From there the two have been inseparable.

Many family gatherings and laughs have happened since and Robbie realized that what he had been searching for was a home. He found “home” in Katelyn.

Robbie proposed on March 6th as a surprise. He had all their friends and family present for the beautiful moment. And even though her answer was a little hard to understand it was a yes.

Katelyn went from Tinderella to Cinderella that day. They make it official October 7th, 2022.
