Our Wedding

A classic love story of the ages - Katelyn and Eric met on a dating app during the middle of Covid. Despite the restrictions in place during the summer of 2021, they had their first date at the Bread Bar in Guelph, and ended up getting kicked out of their 2-hour time limit at their table because they lost track of time. The conversation was so good and easy, so much so that they asked to be moved to another table and spent another 2 hours talking! As time went by, they spent more time with each other - many kilometres were spent driving between Dundas and Baden.

the beginning 

The September long weekend will always hold a special place in their hearts - Bronte Rocks! Katelyn had experience on power boats, but sail boats were a whole new category and what better way to get to know them by being thrown into a regatta as rail meat! To date, they could argue that this is still one of their favourite weekends.

It was only a few short months later that they spent their first New Year's Eve together... and both got Covid for the first time. Needing to quarantine, and them being sick for a good two weeks, there was plenty of time for cooking elaborate dinners together, introducing Katelyn to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and Mario Party. Lots and lots of Mario Party. However, after two weeks of technically being forced to live together, they did come to the realization that they weren't sick of each other yet. This lead to wanting to close the distance and finding a place in Kitchener.

Eric and Katelyn were settling into their first place together, with Puffin by their side. Until... Katelyn brings home Murphy, the 4 month old Australian Shepherd

Since then, the two have continuously been on one big adventure together. From many miles travelled during road trips across Ontario and to the US, visiting sunny destinations with family, hosting dinner parties, game nights and beer olympics with close friends or working hard on their careers, there is never a dull moment for Katelyn and Eric. They are excited to step into this next chapter together and can't wait to see what the future holds.

Dress Code

Are Kids Welcome?

While we love your kiddos, for our special day, we've decided to keep our wedding adults-only, so everyone can fully relax and enjoy the evening with us. We hope you'll take this as a chance for a special date night!

Does the venue have parking?

Yes, parking is limited onsite. Additional street parking along Shepherd is allowed and public parking can be found at the Tim Hortons/Beer Store parking lot, an 8-minute walk away.We strongly encourage you to carpool with friends or family! If you would like to indulge in some beverages, we please ask you to stay safe and call an uber or taxi to your home or hotel. You are more than welcome to leave your car at the venue overnight, and can pick it up again the next morning by 11:00am! We want everyone to have a safe night.

Can I take Pictures?

We kindly request that you enjoy the moment with us and be present during the afternoon by keeping your phones away during the ceremony. We have an amazing photographer to capture every moment of the wedding, and we will of course share those pictures with you after the wedding! After the ceremony, we would love for you to capture our day and strongly encourage you to take pictures! We can't wait to see them!

What if I have an allergy?

Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any allergies or sensitivities - we will work together with the caterer to let them know so we can accomodate your needs!

Where Will the ceremony be?

Rain or shine, the ceremony will be outdoors! Storehouse 408 has a beautiful outdoor space. If it rains, they have a covered spot on their patio where the ceremony will take place.May weather can be either hot or cold - please dress accordingly!

Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal or cocktail attire. We are hoping to have a beautiful, colourful wedding, so please don't shy away from florals, patterns or bright colours!
