Tanner and Katelyn met in the second semester of their freshman year at Tennessee Tech. Tanner was playing his first football season at Tech, while Katelyn was playing her first soccer season. They spent many hours doing their sports, but when they werent doing them, they were with each other! After a couple of months of getting to know each other and meeting family, Tanner asked Katelyn to be his girlfriend on April 1st, 2021 (just in case she said no, he could make it an April Fools joke), but of course, she said YES! They quickly became best friends and were each others number-one support system while in school, earning their degrees and playing college sports.


In the summer of 2023, Tanner asked Katelyns dad, Josh, to marry her. He then asked for permission from Michelle, Katelyns mom, brother, and sister. Tanner proposed to Katelyn the night before she graduated on December 7th, 2023, in the middle of the crosswalk in downtown Cookeville, where it all began! That night is truly one they will never forget, and we are so excited for their future together and the life they will build and create!
