Our story starts on New Year’s Day in 2022, when we were lucky enough to match on Hinge. A comedy show, a few drinks, and a second date at a climbing gym later, we both knew we had found something special. The phrase “when you know you know” has always puzzled both of us, but now it makes all the sense in the world. When our love really clicked was our first trip together: a weekend in New Orleans, which was filled with delicious food, a few dueling piano bars, a jazz club, and a first exchange of “I love you’s.”

Some people look for common interests in partners: a love of the same music, a shared sense of adventure, or a common ambition. We were both searching for something more: someone with our “nonnegotiables,” as Kate calls them. To name a few, we were both searching for someone who was caring, selfless, kind, and who had a love of the Lord. We were both so pleasantly surprised that we found someone who embodied exactly what we were looking for. In hindsight, we should not have been surprised as this was all a part of His plan.

Our story has many twists and turns, but all of them more fun and filled with love than the last. In September of 2023, we had the pleasure of spending two weeks in Italy, one of Kate’s many international adventures but Andrew’s first time over an ocean. It was there, on a beautiful alley in Caiazzo, Italy, where we got engaged and celebrated with the best pizza on earth at Pepe in Grani.

We are so excited to share our sacrament with all of you, whether at dinner before the ceremony, at the ceremony, or in the mountains. We are counting down the days to when we get to say I do and commit to each other for the rest of our lives. We hope that you can be there to witness and hold us accountable to this commitment.

Forever is never going to be long enough, but we are excited for it to start.
