It's almost our wedding day! We are so excited to see everyone and so grateful you will be celebrating with us. A few details that might be helpful: Saturday: For those that are flying into DTW, Ubers and Lyfts are available and about $50 from the airport to Ann Arbor. The Michigan Flyer is $25 round trip, runs frequently, and is a nice bus.<a href="https:" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> Buy your tickets online </a>early if you can. On Saturday, there is a football game at 12pm. Traffic coming into Ann Arbor in the morning will be slow. By 12pm it will be clear until about 4pm when the traffic will be heavy leaving Ann Arbor. Speaking of football, some of you may be excited for the chance to see a Michigan football game! If you want to experience the biggest football stadium in the country, this is a pretty great way to do it. It’ll be one of the cheaper games you can find (non-conference game vs East Carolina). Ticketmaster has seats starting at $60 but you should be able to easily buy a ticket for $30-$40 or less on the street, walking down Main Street towards the stadium. To get to the welcome party at 6:30pm, we would recommend taking a Lyft/Uber. There should not be much football traffic by the time of the party, but parking downtown may be challenging. If you plan to explore downtown Ann Arbor during the day, then you can easily walk to the venue at Circ Bar. Sunday (Wedding Day!): Alcohol from elsewhere is not allowed at Cornman Farms. Please do not bring any alcohol to the wedding venue. The bar will open at 4:30, immediately following the ceremony. The temperature looks like it will be hot, especially on Sept 3, Sunday for our wedding day. The ceremony will be outside but will be shorter than 30 minutes. The seating area is fairly shaded, and we’ll provide paper hand fans. The rest of the festivities are indoors in a converted barn with air conditioning. Cocktail hour is partially outdoors with an indoor option in the barn.&nbsp;The dinner and party will be indoors. Later, once it’s dark and cooler, we’ll be going outside again to hang out by the fire pits (there will be s'mores!).&nbsp;In case of rain, everything will be moved inside the barn. There is parking available at Cornman Farms, but no cars can be left overnight. If you'd like to not worry about the 20ish minute drive home, we'd suggest taking an Uber to Kensington to catch the shuttle, or taking an Uber to Cornman Farms. There will be two shuttles taking guests from Kensington Hotel to Cornman Farms. The shuttles will leave from Kensington at 3:15 and will run as needed between the wedding venue and the hotel. At the end of the night, the shuttles will drop-off downtown Ann Arbor (near 2nd and Liberty) and at the Kensington Hotel. The After Party will be at 8 Ball (below The Blind Pig). We will pass out wrist bands so that drinks go on the wedding tab. Alcohol from elsewhere is not allowed at 8 Ball. We are so so excited to celebrate with you! Our Wedding

For the last 10 years, we have both been living in Ann Arbor’s Old West Side, walking the same trails, and frequenting the same restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Finally, in January of 2022, we matched on a dating app (or as we like to say, the old fashioned way).&nbsp; At the time, Eric was visiting family in LA, and Katelyn was in Ann Arbor, avoiding the cold and snuggling with Bee the dog. We shared Happy New Year messages and started a long distance chess battle. Eric came home to Ann Arbor, and we had our first date on a Monday night at Raven’s Club.&nbsp; Fast forward to May 2022, we were officially in love! And Bee approved too. We’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story…

The Kensington Hotel

There will be a shuttle taking guests from the Kensington Hotel in Ann Arbor to the wedding at Cornman Farms, about 25 minutes away. Throughout the wedding the shuttle will run continuously between the venue and the hotel. At the end of the night, the shuttle will drop guests off downtown Ann Arbor or at the Kensington Hotel. Please indicate your shuttle needs on the RSVP. Thanks!

Getting to and from the wedding

This is an easy and affordable way to get to and from the airport. The bus drops off downtown Ann Arbor, from there an Uber or Lyft can take you to the Kensington Hotel.

Travel

UMMA is in the center of campus and downtown Ann Arbor and admission is free! There are special exhibits happening now. We especially love the Picassos and the on the second floor. A favorite painting of Katelyn's is there, Street Scene by Beauford Delaney from 1951. This is a 10 minute uber ride from the hotel.

University of Michigan Museum of Art

On Saturday, September 2nd there is a University of Michigan football game at 12pm. Go check out The Big House, the 3rd largest stadium in the world and the largest in the country!

We love this restaurant! Dinner is reservation only but from 12 - 4 on Saturdays and Sundays they host Day Wine. No reservations are needed for Day Wine and you can order the most beautiful light dishes made from local ingredients and the very best wine.
