It all started in early 2021, when Katelyn was trying to get her roommate at the time out on a date. She offered to go out with a "random dude from Hinge" alongside her roommate. So without Nate knowing, he showed up to The Block in St. Louis Park to meet Katelyn, while her friend was also on a first date a few tables over. Everyone knew the situation except for Nate (oops!). The date went great, and the two made plans for a second date just two days later. They fell in love through camping trips, games of cribbage, a few moves, and lots of trips up north. They brought home their puppy, Oakley, in 2021, and the rest is history. Nate proposed on the Pokegama Golf course in the summer of 2023, with lots of their friends and family watching secretly from the club house. They can't wait to continue their lives together!
